Brown paint on 1968 Klipschorn ?

Am refurbishing the cabinets on my 1968 Klipschorn - they appear to be all original, and I'm trying to keep them as close to that as possible.
The areas not seen when they are placed in a corner (the bottoms and some parts of the interior of the tophats; tops, sides, and interiors of the base bins, etc.), are all painted with a brown paint - not black paint.
The paint comes off with acetone - I'm being told that means it's an oil based paint (which I assumed for that vintage)

I contacted Klipsch and they could not help to identify the type of paint and color.
Sherwin Williams has no clue - outside of the fact that it's an oil paint, possibly lead-based, and anything they can give me will be MUCH thicker and fill the woodgrain.

Does anyone else have older Klipschorn with a brown vs black paint?
Do you know what paint that is?
What did you use when you refurb'd your cabinets?
And ultimately, when it comes time to sell these on - will anyone even care what color those areas are painted anyway?

If you want something thinner than paint, maybe look at tinted stains like you'd use on a wood deck. You can probably match the color pretty close using the color chips they'll have at the store, or if you can get a piece with the old color on it to take with you they can color match it.

See if you can color match a stain, then apply it like a paint, i.e. don't wipe it off. That's probably what they did back in the day.

If you try to match with chip, the last I knew Sherwin Williams needed a chip the size of a quarter, or larger, and a photo will not work unless you merely want to match the photo to one of their stock chips.
