BSR EQ-3000 work in my setup?

I'm thinking about purchasing this item and want to know if there's a way to hook it up in my setup. My receiver does not have a tape-in/out, which is what the manual says to connect to. It's a newer receiver (Yamaha RX-V375). Current setup is TT>Preamp>Receiver(audio in). Can I just hook the EQ up in line between the preamp and receiver for it to work? TT>Preamp>EQ>Receiver. It's mostly for aesthetics as it has a spectrum analyzer and I may want to play with the EQ settings a bit.

Yes, you can do that, although I assume you know it'll only work when you're using the turntable.
