BSR-The Truth is Known...

Blue Shadow

Waiting for Vintage Gear from this century
Road & Track this month did an article about BSR. This acronym is related to the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) well known in auto evaluations. BSR stands for Buzzes, Squeaks and Rattles, and some may hold the opinion that this may be true of some of their turntable offerings back in the day. The full article is available here: http://www.roadandtrack.com/column/a-whole-lotta-shakin-goin-on but it does not mention the turntables made by BSR.

BSR changers are wonders of el cheapo engineering. They'll never sound that great, but the mechanisms take a licking and keep on ticking. I dedicated a thread to their remarkable endurance some months back.
