Buddy Looking for a NEW TT in the $500 + - Range

How is the plastic fantastic crosley-ish build of the Rega worth $600.00?
I've auditioned the Planar 1 against other turntables in its price range, and it's the better-sounding turntable. I don't know anything about Crosley's build quality, but I do know people with the original P1 (introduced in 2005) who have been using them with great pleasure and without any issues for over 15 years.

I wouldn't trust CNET if they 'reported' that water was wet.
You can trust whomever you like. So far, when I've been able to hear the same equipment they've reported on, I've been in substantial agreement with their findings.

I believe he opted for this turntable.https://www.project-audio.com/en/product/debut-carbon-evo/ Now, I'm kicking around the idea of buying something, probably around the 1k range. When you get to that number, there are allot of options I am seeing.

I'm running ADS910's, and switch between a Tandberg 2075 and a Fisher, EL-34 X-1000 integrated. I still cant seem to tear myself away from Signet carts, specifically the TK7CLA and TK10ML MM units. I've always wanted to try MC and a pre, or just a pre with these MMs' but the phono stage of the Fisher and Tandberg aint too shabby for my needs, until the day I "HEAR" what I've been missing... The TT's I have right now are a Denon DP52F, a Yamaha YP D8 and a Kenwood KD750. Wondering if I can do better? All the old chit...

Your Fisher is very good, with Dave Gillespie’s (DGD) updates it’s excellent  certainly worthy of an MC cartridge either way, but you’ll need a SUT or MC capable preamp. What tonearm’s do you have?

In my opinion you’ll have to spend quite a bit wisely to better the Kenwood, lot’s of outstanding vintage options that can still be had as good deals, if one is capable of a bit of DIY maintenance and updates….

Check out the U-turn Orbit Theory. Competitive with the Rega Planar 3, magnesium tonearm, electronic speed control, and made in the USA. Comes with a 2M Blue, or Bronze. .

I have been using a Scott PS 68A with an Audio Tech cartridge for the last twenty five years. It doesn't get much use vs my CD and streamer, but I have been looking at the Fluance and the Pro-Ject Carbon Debut Evo as well. Does anybody have any experience, or input on those Technics clones? Yes, they are made in the Chinese Hanpin site, but I'm attracted to the ReLoop 7000 Mk2. There is no Sweetwater or Guitar Center nearby to give a look see...
