A sad day for motorcyclists:

Harley-Davidson has made the decision to discontinue the Buell product line as part of its strategy to focus on growth through the Harley-Davidson brand. If you click on the link below; you will see that Erik Buell is very emotional as he announces the end of Buell motorcycles.

Maybe he'll go back to building his custom bikes like he was doing before he got bought by Harley. I remember reading about his specials back in the day.
 
Closure, instead of sale, means he's keeping his intellectual property (patents, trade names, etc.). So, who knows?

Sad indeed! Erik Buell has made some amazing and truly Awesome motorcycles. He was always at the cutting edge of technology and pushing the envelope. I certainly hope there will continue to be a part of him that stays with Harley. And perhaps he will build some of his wonderful one off creations in the future. If you are a Rider and have never ridden a Buell Please Do So you won`t be dissapointed!!
