Twin rear engines, driveshafts for armrests and a gearbox for a footrest.

I can't see any problems there.......

I'll be curious to see how it flies.

You know... projects like these make me feel a little less guilty/Luddite about listening to music via a single ended 2A3 amplifier driving 50-ish year old Altec Duplex loudspeakers...

Ettore was LEGENDARY in his haughtiness... A customer griped that he couldn't start his Bug in the wintertime.. Ettore told him to heat his garage. Another owner fussed about the brakes-Ettore told him he built HIS cars to Go, NOT Stop...

Way kool! Too bad about the finish.
BTW, after watching "The Sky Crawlers", I've wondered about 'clean air' issues on the rear prop with this concentric counterrotational prop arrangement.

The idea this would have been some sort of advanced military aircraft for the French is silly. Any number of racing type planes were thought to be suited to military use until they started hanging guns and armor on them and then they could barely fly. With the additional weight and change in balance in many cases. This aircraft would be the same. No way to put a nose mounted gun so how would you mount even a pair of machine guns and ammo trays in those skinny wings?

Even the excellent Bell P-39 which in its unarmed test stages preformed very well became a bit of a dog once armor and guns were hung on it.

Ummm, I think that the Army deliberately NOT including the turbocharger that the P-39 was supposed to have might have had something to do with that.

Cheers,
James
