Building a technics sp-10 mk 3 plinth

Wondering if anyone could put me in touch with someone who could get me a full size set of blueprints for the cutout for a technics sp-10mk3?

also any contacts on getting panzerholtz in the US?

I think I’d like to try my hand at building one.

I have a couple plinths that I built for a sp10 Mk II. I can trace the opening or even make a cardboard template if that would help. I don't think I'd pay for a template.

Are the mk2 and 3 identical in their footprint?

Apparently the Mk II and Mk III are different. The good news is that the Mk III uses a simple circle cutout. Template is available in Vinylengine.com
 
Ok. So many questions. I think I’m going for a solid look. I’ve read the information published on the sound transmission characteristics of panzerholz, which is a compressed birch plywood of some sort originally from Germany. Very dense and apparently no transmission of sound characteristics. Just a dead thump.
I’d like to make it 6 -8 inches high and I really only need one arm board.
I think I’d like to have a dark high gloss coating as the color.
I really fell in love with the Porter plinth referenced above by Infantry Man. Maybe darker with a burl wood maybe.

This just sold on Yahoo Buyee for $1500.00. It claims it was made for the Technics SP10 series. Machined out of stainless steel! Must weigh a ton and I'm sure it's as dead as can be sonically.

Don’t you just love that crc equipment is now more affordable for people. That looks like one honking piece of steel.

Yes. I have bought some tonearm boards for my TD124 made of this. Somebody had to have used a router or CNC machine to create it. I broke 4-6 drill bits trying to create the mounting holes. Dead silent though.

Carbide will be grooved quickly when cutting through the adhesive layers of the material.

Diamond blades or cutters are needed unless you want to change cutters every couple inches.

Why not do as I did, measure the bit that needs to go through the hole, measure the lip that sits on the plinth and measure relation of screw holes. Really not hard to work out hole size.
