I just want to move my posting up to today. How do I go about doing that?
Thanks,
Jazzbolito
You can't "bump" individual post, just the topics. When a new reply is made to a topic, the topic is moved to the first page of any sub-forum, to indicate "hey, there's something new here", so if anyone were interested in it, it would be easy to see. Really active topics hang around on the first page a lot, since many are posting in them, and many look at those post.
For example, if you have a topic about, say, a Thorens turntable in the dollars and sense subforum, and it's five pages back. If someone post, or "bumps" it, it'll rocket to the first page, for easy access.
A "Bump" indicates posting for visibility, rather than with additional insights or information. Some forums frown upon this, however. Audiokarma seems
mostly alright with the practice, in moderation, of course (i'm a member of another forum were a bump is a warnable offence). Things move fast, and it can be hard to see every topic.
