Buss Fuse identification

kaplang

Works for me !
Can someone direct me to a document that tells how to identify buss fuses? I know that the volt and amp rating is obvious as it is usually stamped on the metal band on one end but the letters that identify what type of fuse is not.

Do different manufactures use different identity markings?

Thanks,

Designations have changed some over the years, but this should help. Scroll down to old and new commercial designations for this link.

This link is self explanatory. The numbers and letters mostly have to do with length and diameter.

In addition, an "F" prefix indicates Fast-Blow, While a "T" prefix indicates "timed" or Slow-Blow. A "C" prefix means ceramic.
