Busy making X-mas BBQ. 14 shoulders.

A buddy of mine and I every X-mas cook shoulders to give away at X-mas. This is his new grill we got last Spring. We were able to cook 14 shoulders at once. It took 12 hours. Plus all is cooked on hickory and oak coals. We burn the logs in a barrel and shovel the coals in the cooker.

Since none was to be eaten that day. While we were cooking, we also fixed bacon wraped chicken livers and chicken and sausage kabobs. We had 12 other people watching, so we had to feed them during this event. Every one one had full bellies and a buzz when it was over.

More on the next posting.

Here are more pics of the grill and Kabobs we cooked. BBQ turned out perfect. Fixing to go to the kitchen and pull my shoulder now.

He also has a nice system I set him up with in his shop.

He has a set of Technics flat driver speakers, that I replaced the woofers in. I think they are the model 400's. A bryston 1b pre amp, on top of an Adcom 545 amp. For sources he has a Pioneer 6 disc changer and an ipod.

Dang Jim, now that's some BBQ'ing! When should I be there? :D

Come on down. I'm taking a break now from pulling mine apart. I'm still not 100% from yesterday yet.

Oh yeah....we flipped them 3 times and basted them with a vinigar sauce everytime we did.

Carolina Treet! WHOOOO HOOO! Man, that whole deal looks good enough to eat. I'm droolin' now.:D

Not Carolina treet. Just a vinigar basting sauce I make. Took almost a gallon and a half to do em all.
.

I see what you are talking about now. Yepper the Carolina treet went on the bacon wrapped livers and the Georges on the other side of the pic. went on the kabobs.
