I am right now working on with Pioneer C-90a and it is Euro version and HEZ of those that was sold in West-Germany.
You can spot all audio gear that got "Evil Eagle of Audio Death" -logo on rear panel. This called FTZ tratment and it limits down ultra high frequencies to protect German audio gear sales. so basicly it is protectionism, to make Philips and Grundig any change against Japanese brands, hoping they do not enter market, because these extra parts needed.
So my question is; could someone confirm what parts are there behind "in" and "Out" terminals in USA (or any other market) sold C90a's?
My understanding is that "CD IN" is only jumpers and rest "IN" terminals got 470ohm(?) resistors, no capacitors?
On "OUT" terminals there are only jumpers?
I like to remove these FTZ capacitors, if they are not needed, but I am not sure if they even affect anything.
Few other parts are also missing
Here is picture what I have.
