C11 - Tape Monitor jack at the back - how to use it ?

Hello all,

I need to connect a fifth (high level input) device to my C11.
I can see that the "Tape Monitor" jack at the back is free, but I do not see how to select it from the front Mode Selector knob. There are only four (high level input) modes on the knob.

Any idea how to solve it ?

Plug device into Tape Monitor inputs on the back, and select Monitor on the Tape Monitor switch on the front. Rotary selector is not involved. If you haven't used the tape monitor switch before, exercise it several times with volume very low to evaluate if it's "scratchy" or intermittent. Clean if required. Volume should be equivalent to other line inputs selected by rotary switch.

The normal use of tape monitor is to monitor playback head out of tape deck, while it's recording the signal selected by the rotary Source switch. If you turn it to "tape" it would likely feed back. Monitoring the playback head instills confidence that recording is good.
