C29 Opinions?

Would be pairing with a MC250 and a nice Thorens table for a pure vinyl vintage system. I've had the C33 in the past, but actually prefer the cleaner looks and simpler design of the C29 and never really used the C33 monitor amp, equalizer, compander, etc.

They can be had for about the same price on the used market. Am I nuts to be leaning to a nice C29 I'm eyeing? :scratch2:

C29 is a very nice preamp, I bought mine new some 25 years ago and it recently went to Terry for a total upgrade, like you I prefer the simpler pre amps as I never use tone controls.
If it is original then you should factor in another $200 for total upgrade by Terry to get it back to its original glory.

I had a C29 that was fully restored at AC.
I thought it was very nice unit for the $$.
Mine sold on AG for $600 to Japanese Mc fan
