C47 or C49?

Looking into getting a new Preamplifier and stuck between deciding on a C47 or C49. If you could choose between the two which one will you choose and why? If you own either one any input on them will be greatly appreciated.

I'm a happy C47 owner, but haven't looked at the C49 much. Took a quick look at the back and what I would care about seems quite similar.

They are pretty much the same except for the upupgradable dac in the 49. I owned the 47 for a while and the dac sounded wonderful, so I am not sure how much better it can get.
Then if you should want to upgrade the dac, it will be $2000.

So if you have the extra money and going to worry about not having the latest upgrade, get the 49. If not, get the 47.

I think your choice should take into consideration on what piece of equipment is performing the DAC operations. I recently got a sweet deal on a new C52 and saved 3500 bucks compared to what the C53 would have cost me. I did not care about the significant DAC upgrades in the C53 because my digital source is an Oppo 205. The C53 DAC is not an improvement in versus the Oppo for my use.
