c70 preamp restore

some time ago I started to restore my c70 preamp ,after recapping with all nichicon muse and fine gold
I was quite happy with the sound as it was much cleaner and well defined.

as I was going through e bay looking for new projects to enjoy I found the new replacement for the tone control
switch for the parametric controls p/n ka902820 for about $80.00.
It took about 30 min to change the switch and what a difference it made,the bass is more real,the mids are
cleaner and the highs are sparkling its like having a new preamp.
Give this switch a chance you won't regret it.

Interesting, thought the OEM was super special, inert gas filled. Or is that the vol?... hopefully avionic will chime in and spend 2c

Where did you hear that line of BS .. No way..It is just a solenoid activated slide switch.

Now you just need to replace the 8 little orange relays with new pieces.
