Its a universal model, but whats interesting is the serial number. I wonder if that a is truly the first one off the production line!

I notice these items as not being typical:
Black vents and not recessed on the top of the case.
Tone Jump switch
No AC outlets
560W label
Serial number
"S" sticker on the rear panel
Double square sticker adjacent to the "S" sticker

In AU the mains is 240Vac +/-6% (or was it +/-7%) so with a little mains bounce you could see 255Vac. Fairly sure those AC outlets are rated to 250Vac (stamped on item) so possibly outlets not included where item could be used with 240Vac due to long term safety.

The double square and "S" are probably just compliance to newly (at the time) introduced safety labling. Appears the GND wire from output board to chassis has been removed.

Tone Jump versus Tone defeat, who cares?

It appears to be a different function. His CA-1000 has the tone defeat as all of them do on the left side by the tone controls AND a "tone jump" on the Audio Muting switch. The Audio Muting switch is a three position vs the two position on most CA's.

I agree. I found the Tone Jump was placed on the MKII units

We both saw this unit on another Forum, it is a curious unit.

It means the unit is double insulated, and does not require a safety connection to electrical Earth (ground).
