Ca 1010 vs Ca810

I just picked up a mint Ca810 and the Ca 1010 is out getting a full restoration. So far I have to say the 810 is a fuller sounding amp. I am not sure if the 1010 is just in need of a restoration to restore it to original specs? But so far I am leaning heavily to the 810. Anyone else noticed this?

I prefer the sound of my 1010 to the 810, but in my case the 1010 has had a complete recap and the 810 only partial. I find the 1010 to be a touch more refined.
 
I have both and after I went through the 1010 it sounded better than the 810 to me.
