Listening to a recently acquired CA-2010 early today, noticed the left channel was weak. After a few turns of the balance and volume knobs the left channel "came back" and sounded great.
Turned the unit on again later in the day, and no left channel (very little sound, but distorted, and only at high volume). The balance/volume knob wiggle trick didn't work this time.
The inner (working) part of the CA-2010 volume and balance knob looks much more "sealed" than the one on my 1010. Is there some way to get cleaner (Deoxit?) in there? Does what appears to be a grey hexagonal plastic casing come off, or have access holes somewhere I can't see?
Or is my intermittent left channel as likely a matter of a fuse somewhere? I've seen a bunch of fuses under the 2010's bottom cover......
Any suggestions greatly appreciated......
