l have just purchased a pair of these speakers Coral 12tx 50.
Waiting for them to arrive and looking for advice
Looking for cabinet suggestions for these items if you own them.
Even if you don't own a pair any suggestions taken on board.

I've seen a couple of videos of these speakers on the net but can't see the actual cabinets which seem narrower than the recommended cabinet size
I have some 10" Coral coaxials which are in a reconfigured cabinet from the original and they sound pretty good.

Thanks

Very nice. If I had a pair of those, I would have to try them in a pair of Electro-Voice Aristocrats. Not sure how much of the old EV or similar cabinets are available in Australia, though.

Thanks macgolf, l just checked up on what the Aristocrats look like.
They seem to show up as corner cabinets?
I like the size of them but l don't have any corners would they work as well away from the wall

I'm just a recent fan of EV speakers, but I think the Marquis speaker cabs are similar sized and conventional placement speakers.

After several hours of trawling the internet I've come up with scant details on cabinet plans for the Electrovoice marquis.
Are there any detailed drawings for construction..
Might have to post separately for this.

Don't do this, coral supplied cabinet designs for the 12tx ect models, I also own a pair of 12tx-50 but I believe mine may be an early prototype because they are 8 ohm variations and no spec sheets or internet blurbs on forums ect of the speaker mention a consumer marketed 8 ohm version, I came across this at such a late hour I don't have the time to post a picture of mine or any other information on this but I will dm you a copy of the spec sheet and pictures of mine which I would recommend a very close match of for sound quality in the low end, one important thing to mention is they are 32" tall and around 20" wide and deep (will provide exact measurements including port size tomorrow) so waf may be an issue for you as I don't know your current situation but if fidelity is your worry I will not steer you in the wrong direction, it is also important to note if you've been trawling through audio heritage and the like that these speakers "are" capable of producing subsonic frequencies down to 18hz with an impressive 92-94db/1w efficiency however don't ride on utilizing them this way as the driver impedance spikes to nearly 100 ohms at 20hz and doesn't stabilize down to around 10 until right around 100hz, granted most music rarely reaches that extreme unless you prefer electronic but if you're going for that being part of your listening experience either way preferably a dual subwoofer add on placed adjacent to each other in front would be optimal.

Thanks Roboneal, l haven't built them as yet but I've decided to go with the traditional cabinet designed for them.
Send me your plans through as l would like to look at them

I've drawn up the plans and yet to source the 25mm marine ply.

A mate of mine cabinet maker is champing at the bit to get a start on them.
I have another mate dying to have a listen when they are built,

Not trying to crowd in just a question.
Can these be used in the same cabinet design?
Picked these Stephens Tru Sonic 122AX speakers up a couple years ago in some home brew cabs.
