Calling All Gilligan's Island Fans!

My favorite TV show has always been and will be Gilligan's Island. Than being said, I want that Radio. I think it'd be a cool thing to have. The only problem is that I can't identify a brand name or logo anywhere. Whenever there is a good shot of it, I pause the DVD and zoom in, but it gets too blurry and I can't the the brand name at the bottom right hand corner. There is one very close shot, but Gilligan has his hand over the logo (and again, messing something up for someone). It's looks almost like they do this on purpose as not to advertise the brand of the radio. In cack, it even looks like they painted the logo black so it's impossible to read.

Can anyone recognize the radio, hopefully one of the big audiophiles will recognize it by seeing it, or maybe a fellow Gilligan's Island fan already knows what kind of radio this is.

Thanks!

"The radio" seen in virtually every episode was a Packard-Bell AM Radio, Model AR-851. The small silver handle and telescoping antenna were added by the prop department (despite the fact that AM radios do not use telescoping antennas). The antenna was likely added to lend credence to the castaways' ability to pick up radio signals so far from civilization.

I have one of those Halicrafter S-40's up in the attic. My friend borrowed it once to use as a movie prop. He had a microphone "connected" (wire draped over the back of the table) and a flashlight in it to light it up (it needs some caps changed before it can be plugged in) to make it look like a WWII transceiver.

Of course Gilligan's island was shot in a studio in California, but, when they needed a real island location they used an island in Kaneohe Bay in Hawaii - pictured below. Part of this island was donated to the University of Hawaii - where they have a biological research station - and the remainder of the island is privately owned. Oh, and Ginger of course!
