There is a possibility of some compatibility issues as well. The Polk's are rated as 6 ohms, however, most complex speaker systems have a tendency to dip below their rating somewhere in the sound spectrum. The NAD is good down to 2 ohms. I could not find the spec for speaker loading on the Yamaha. It is a home theater unit I believe. That probably (this is a guess) means it is rated for 8 ohm speakers. It may vary well be that the Polks dip down low enough in impedance to draw more current then the Yamaha wants to deliver.
