Local estate sale tomorrow and this looks like the only thing there even worth looking at for me. Except, maybe a couple prints.

Very Germanic looking, from the finish - Blaupunkt, Nordmende, Telefunken...something on that order.

Happy trails,

LOL. So it's either European or Asian. Got it. I guess I'll swing by there either way. There's about 7 Estate sales going on in the area.

Okay. I saw it. It's a Victor of Japan stereophonic. I could not find a model #. But it comes with 2 quite large speaker cabinets. Both of which have a corner panel that folds back to apparently send sound out the sides.

I'd estimate the cabinets to be 3' high by 3' wide and 2 or 2 1/2' deep. Beautiful fabric on them too.
You can see part of one here and get an idea of how tall it is.

Oh and it's tubes.

Like most estates sales around here, former NAVY sailor and apparently they spent a lot of time in Japan.

asking $155 now and 25% off tomorrow.

Still no advice on this?
I wonder what the price is down to today. Assuming it's all still there.

Tube gear... I'd guess you can't go wrong at under a hundred bucks, since big speakers are included, too. It'll be a rare piece in the USA.

Yeah I guess I should've posted my question in the Tube forum once I got a look at it. I never did go back over there today to see if it was still around.

Thanks for lookin guys.

Not the end of the world. It would've been a fun piece, but I guarantee it wouldn't have rivaled any mid-fi or better tube amp.
