Hello. I'm new to the forum.
Please take look at these speakers.
90% sure they're from the 70's
Probably German
Maybe Telefunken, Grundig or Braun? But can't find the exact model.
Maybe I'm wrong though and they're another make trying to look like Telefunken or Grundig classic
"box" type speakers? They're 60cm high approx 30cm wide. (23"x11")
Would very much appreciate your help!

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond. It would be cool if they were the Klangbox. Then, the first record played though them should be by Kraftwerk,
whose first studio in Dusseldorf was called (with untypical German lightheartedness) Kling Klang. :))

And they probably just enjoyed the music I their blissful ignorance!
Well I was speaking of loudspeaker designers, not the casual listener. But it remains true. You don't know what you're missing, until it's not there.

Hmm - it seems to me that Altec 604s, or Lowthers (and others), which predate these by a bit, might still be considered to do well with diffraction, dispersion, and transparency...
The Telefunkens (or whatever they are) were not expensive speakers and were used in what now would seem modest systems, and it seems churlish to complain that they can't compete with Quad ESLs or what ever.

Did I do that? And as far as Altecs are concerned, these were more representative of the time.

The Telefunken RB 70 Klangbox speakers in the OP's post sold for about $700 ea. in today's money. Not stratospheric but not chickenfeed either.

Wait a minute.... I've just checked. Kalngboxes measured 53 cm in height. These are right on 60cm. Hmmm...

Consider this small detail.

Telyfunky grills laid the veneer grain perpendicular to the slots.

Isophon grills laid the veneer grain parallel to the slots. This gives the Isophons a cleaner look.

That is actually a little bit terrifying ..but somehow fascinating. Thank you!

Update. Yup the veneer thing is correct. BUT the number of slots doesn't add up, nor does the measurement. The Isophon HSB 20/8 had 53 slots and measured 62cm. Mine have 43 slots and measure 60cm. Maybe they're communist clones?
