Hey guys,
I got a 1968 Magnavox I recapped. It's got flying saucers in it and are metal cans. The drivers for the transformer coupled amp are input- 83P1B824 and T83P25T to the transformers. It has a good warm tone to it and I'd like to bring down the noise floor. I wasn't sure if these were geranium transistors or not. Also has 43P6C274 metal can and 4M808N4M54 in the mutiplex section but probably don't need to mess with those.
Thanks Jackson

What chassis are you working with and is this an Astro Sonic? Magnavox ran a positive ground arrangement in these years so they may or may not be germaniums. Using a diode test on your DVM should provide a definitive answer as the junction drop of a germanium is 0.300v or so forward and a silicon is about 0.700v forward
