Can I use muse bipolarity caps?

So I have an onkyo a809 amplifier and I wish to replace all the caps that are in the sound single path, the og. Caps are muse (m) caps and I have matching caps to replace them but they are all muse nichicon muse bipolarity caps, so is it ok to is them and also would a DC current going one way only use half the UF of the cap? Thanks for any reply

You can use them for that application but they're total overkill, IMHO. I'll assume the voltage rating is at or higher for the replacements.

As for the topic of DC current changing their value in any way the answer is: No. They're still the same value no matter the DC voltage placed across the leads - up to the rated DC voltage on the can.

I use these for nonpolar applications when I have them. Otherwise you cant get quality nonpolars in NZ. They do add something good IMO
