Can someone help me identify these speakers? Thank you!

I need help identifying these speakers, they were on my grandpas basement since a long time ago, they work fantastically well but I don’t know the make or what kind of speakers these are.

Also, if you have any suggestions for the two speakers missing on them would be much help.

Looks like you're missing some tweeters.

I'd start looking on eBay at the speakers listed and shown for "Vintage Sansui Speakers" in the "Consumer Electronics" category to find out the model number of these speakers. Once you've identified the model you can start looking on eBay for tweeters for that model if thare are any people are parting them out and since each speaker contains 2 tweeters each you'll need 4 total for the restoration.

Those midrange drivers look like they may have response well into the treble range meaning the tweeters may have been designed to be used more as "super tweeters" for the upper range of treble frequencies. Good luck!

Hey Stickman! Thank you very much for the help, very useful. Also you are absolutely right about the midrange drivers, they make the speakers sound pretty great. Ill start looking and update the thread once I eventually restore them!

I know those mids have a strong early Sansui vibe.

But, i can't stop staring at that woofer.

I'm changing my guess/bet to Sonics.

Sonics made a significant range of speakers behind the same lattice grills.

Good guess. I believe there were other companies offering speakers with wood lattice grilles, too. The whole array of Pioneer CS series, Sony SS-870, the aforementioned Sansui types, Altec 890, Coral BX1001, etc. come to mind.

Regardless of their origin, I'm guessing that I know the color of the van that they were delivered in.

Of course, turning the speaker around may reveal some clues as well, in addition to a photo of the crossover, if it has more than one capacitor.
