A while back I picked up a somewhat rough Marantz 6200 with the intention of restoring it. I've recapped it and mechanically, it seems fine. However, when I was comparing the controls to what are shown in the user manual, I noticed that a former owner glued some kind of Audio Technica accessory to the top of the chassis.
I've attached a couple of pictures below - it's sitting next to the 45 adapter. As you can see in one of the pictures, the pointy post is held in place with a small set screw and can be removed.
Can someone tell me what this thing is? I've scoured the Audio Technica website and googled "turntable accessories" for quite a while without turning anything up
