Can you identify these Polks?

Well, whatever the hell they are, here are a couple more pictures of some live, bona fied, original LS-50's.

Came up dry so far unless we can find out that those sides are indeed angled.

Side Note:

I have a pair of LS70's. Some people say the LS50's are a better balanced speak because the bass stays "tight".

I have a pair of ADS L810's. Some people say the L710's are a better speak because the bass stays "tight".

I have a pair of Polk Monitor 10's. Some people say the monitor 7's are better because....well.




Have any of you guys done a real comparison with any of these pairings? Wonder how much of this is just because "....they own that model?" (Don't mean to jack this thread but beings we are quite possibly talking LS50's here...just triggered this whole thought process with my LS70's and similar big bro/little bro 'tudes.) Do want to say that Polk hit a real winner with the LS series.
