Can you veneer PT wood?

Crest this is not a good idea. PT wood has alot of bad chemicals in it. Copper Sulfate is one of them bad for us.Home depot & Lowes, lumber yards are not allowed to cut it inside buildings. It's against building codes to use in interior construction. Speakers in this case. Also the chemicals are injected under high pressure it penetrates completely through the wood. It takes a couple of months to dry out. The contact cement will probably peel if not properly dried. I would not use it. A cabinet grade MDF would be a lot better not Home D's it's crap. Good luck

I thought copper sulfate was only in “old” PT lumber? It’s been sitting for months, seems pretty dry. I know MDF would be better!

I know, if I’m going to all this effort I should really do it right. I just happen to have these PT 1x1’s laying around in my garage...

There's never time to do it right, but always time to do it over.

Consider the amount of time you're going to take to do this, and presumably the money you're going to spend on the veneer. Do it right the first time, with the right kind of wood, rather than rushing into it with whatever wood you have.
