Cannon TLS 1230

Love fine sound
In a trade I acquired a pair of these speakers(cannon tls 1230), pair of infinity 4000, Sansui 9090 reciever and HK three thirty receiver. All items had issues. I had to repair all of them.Of all so far I am surprised by the cannons. I reformed the woofers, and replaced the back discs(whatever they are called). The speakers sound amazing!! I don't know if it is because I am running them in a spare bedroom and the space is so small and softened by carpet and bed but the speakers remind me of the old 70's JBL's. Anyone out there own a pair of the speakers and can tell me about them? I'm wondering if I am just sonically ignorant for loving the sound of these speakers.
