Hello everyone!
I have owned a Pioneer SX-850 for well over three years now, and I absolutely love it. It's paired with some refoamed and recapped Large Advents at the moment, which I have had working for probably a year and a half now.
I might add, the 850 has been cleaned, and I had to replace the Phono circuit board when I first received it, due to the left channel being out on that input.
Recently the speaker protection relay has been tripping on and off randomly.
Doesn't matter what input it's on, doesn't matter which speaker (A + B) channels I use. Nothing. I even had to break out my 301's to try and see if it was my speakers... no luck there.
Happens more when it's hot and been on awhile now that I think about it..
I've worked on an SX-5590 before with a similar issue, and it ended up being a dirty pot. Same issue maybe?
Any tips are greatly appreciated, I love this site.
