Apparently, all the members' bitching to Ward`s web brought about restored usability over my 6-day absence, as I`ve encountered no noticeable site corruption, so far today, by my use.

I'm not sure what caused the inability to auto-log off. I only remember a similar problem on the Fender website years ago, which was constantly being bombarded by misdirect links, denial-of-service attacks, and spam. Sometimes I had to clear the cache a couple of times to make sure I wasn't still logged in. Must have been a timing or pinging issue.

The site had to pare down all the sub-forums (including the unique vintage Fender amp tech one :() and I believe they went to an entirely new host software. I haven't been on that site since the tech forum went away.

The sad thing is, many of the folks I got to know just dispersed to other sites (like X or Substack). So I lost daily contact with them.

This is INCREDIBLY unimportant, but, heck:

Is it possible to get another waving emoji? one that doesn't have a sad face? current: :bye: bums me out :rflmao:

have done everything i can this end . like it says its the server that doesn't like me for some reason .
From your previous posts, apparently it's that slimjet browser version on your main device that Cloudflare has an issue with, being as you can access OK with an earlier version (different device combo) and with Chrome on your main device, yes/no? So, it's not that it doesn't like you, just something from that particular configuration, perhaps...

my IT guy says i may be on a blacklist on the server for looking like a bot or something like that . the error screen gives clear instructions to the website owner . obviously that message isn't for me .
yes it appears to be just my regular browser . there must be some sort of id it puts out .

Got a 403 error for about a half hour, now Cloudflare bot check is back to showing up after a few minutes inactivity, repeatedly, again. Same posting problems like before.

Windows 10, fully updated Firefox.

Regards,
Gordon.

I'm getting the verification check again as well. And now failing it, rather than passing like I did before. Traced it to my having changed a browser setting earlier this week. Changed that back and now I pass again.

what setting was that ? i have same problem

Posting seems to be a bit of a challenge today. Multiple Cloudflare checks and refreshes are needed.

I copy my work before submitting, just in case you are denied access. That way, you don't need to rewrite everything.

What's ironic is when you finally get a post to "stick," it's often duplicated.
