Canton 301 DC original tweeter/woofer impedance

Hello and a good day, I am new here, decided to registers cause it seems like nice forums with lots of good info on everything audio.
I am in a bit of a pickle regarding some Canton 301 DC crossovers that I got, I cant seem to find anywhere on the inter-webs the original woofer and tweeter impedances, my wild guess would be 4ohms for the tweeter, and maybe 8ohms for the woofer, judging by the components on the crossovers?
Per Canton original manual it says crossover frequency is 3000Hz so it looks to be 4 and 8 respectively, but maybe I'm wrong, asking here maybe someone has and thoughts on this?
My plan is to upgrade the crossovers with new caps, and hook them up to a Vifa 4ohm tweeter, and two 4 ohm woofers in parallel if the woofer sections is indeed 8 ohms, or two 8ohms in series if its 4ohm section.
Any help is gladly appreciated

Small bump, any ideas are welcomed, maybe someone with crossover design expertise could offer an opinion if the crossover is set to 3000Hz with the current components on the PCB,

I think you’d need to see the impedance curves of the drivers, not just the overall rating.

2 different woofers could have significantly different impedances at 3000 hz. You’d also need to wire the 4 ohm woofers in series to achieve an 8 ohm load.
 
Thank you for you time and help, I have read that drivers have variable impedances depending on the frequency played, but I read that putin 4ohm drivers on a 8 ohm designed crossover will lower the crossover point, thats why I wanted to try and get as close as possible, but I cant find anywhere if the crossover poin of 3000 was with 4ohm or 8 ohm woofer in the original design
Do you think the design and cross point was for 3000Hz with aprox 8ohm woofer or 3000 with aprox 4ohm woofer?

I think if you're already going to be purchasing parts, you're better off building your own crossovers from scratch. Crossovers designed to be used with particular drivers are designed around those drivers' impedance curves, and just because a woofer is rated at 4ohms doesn't mean it's 4 ohms across the entire frequency range (and I can guarantee that it's not). So even if it's a 3000 hz crossover frequency for the Canton woofer, it probably won't be the same frequency for just any other woofer, as their impedance curves won't be identical.

So to answer your basic question: yes, the crossover frequency varies based on the impedance, not only the rated impedance but the actual impedance based on the driver's curve.
 
Thank you for explaining, well I tested a bit and it seems that with my 2 4ohm woofers (messured about 3ohm with multimeter both of them when removed from the circuit) in parallel there is to much mid-bass, with only 1 woofer its just perfect, with both in series there almost is no bass-mid, so it seems the crossover was designed for 1 4 ohm woofer, I was thinking if I can connect them in parallel and replace the 8.2ohm resistor with another value? Or maybe connect them in series and add another resistor to compensate?
The speakers sound good with only one woofer so I dont think I should build new crossovers just a little bit of tinkering with these ones I also like DIY stuff, but I dont really know which and what value resistor to add or change?
Any help would be appreciated,
Edit: I think I got it wrong again, so my two 4 ohms in parallel would give 2ohms not 8, and in series would give 8 ohms, well this is strange cause, I thought that increasing the impedance will lower the crossover point, should they have less bass?

Indeed the problem was me messing up the series/paralel thing, re-wired them with both 4 ohm woofers in series and the 4 ohm tweeter from Vifa, and it sounds amazingly good, ordered some Jentzen caps to swap the old Wego ones.
For anyone interested, the speakers I am doing this on are Magnat Monitor Supreme 802
And I can also say 99% that the design of these crossovers is 4ohms on the tweeter and 8 ohms on the woofer, or 4+4 in series.
