My Atlas ESR/70 Gold Peak capacitance and esr meter just started bogus readings. All ESR readings are really off or greater than 40. The battery was in good shape, but I still replaced it with a new one and that didn't work. The test leads are in good shape too. I really liked this little thing too, but it's just over 2 years old (6/01/2024-09/18/2026). So it is out of warranty by a few months. I did the test the manual recommended and "it failed." Seeing how it's made in the UK and I'm in the states, I don't see much of a need of making an international call to be told "sorry." So I'm in the market for a new one. Like I said, I really liked this one, but I think it should have lasted a little longer than it has, especially right out of warranty. I have the "Blue ESR Tester" by Bob Parker that I used to use on tube amps, and it still works fine since 2021 and I'm using that now, but it doesn't do it all like read the capacitance. Then I have one of those little Ebay specials, that will work too, but I don't think it is as accurate. If you were in the market to buy a Cap/ESR meter today, what would you buy. Or what did you buy recently that works really well. I'm in the states, and I would like to find something made or serviced in this country to avoid international problems. Thanks.
