Capacitor combination

I want to make a high pass filter combining two capacitors of different value, my question is if this has some noscive effect on the sound, on some occasion I read about time alignment problems. the reason why I want to do this is because I will use ERO capacitors that in my experience has an incredible sound and a very good price, the combination is ERO MKC 1862 2,2 uf and ERO MKT 1822 1 uf
Any suggestions?

It's hard to say whether this will sound better than a 3.3 uf cap of one or the other type. Usually (this is not a firm rule) when making a value that's not obtainable in a single cap, it's best to combine caps of similar values and types. The values here are fairly close. I thin MKC is universal code for metallized polycarbonate film, and MKT is metallized polyester film. Those should be similar enough that combining them will probably not create any weirdness.

The other common mode is to use a much smaller 'bypass' cap, such as 0.1 or 0.01. These are often different types - for example a good quality main cap and a high quality bypass. If you could find a 3 uf and 0.2 for example, that's another idea.

But I think what you have here will work.

Thank you very much for the welcome!! and for the suggestions, I will continue with the project, I compared the ERO with Solen, Bennic xpp including Clarity, and I find them to be clearer, more defined and neutral. I see that you use a QSC power, I am using a GX5 and for my understanding it sounds very good, it is very widespread throughout the range, I thought it was the only one that used it!

I've had to parallel multiple caps before (Mundorf's on one recap, Clarity Caps on another), to create the value I needed. I've also added (Dayton Film & Foil) bypass capacitors before as well. Maybe I'm just lucky (or have bad ears), but I've never heard any negative effects from combining caps. Go for it.

Thanks!!, I just bought two ERO MKC 1-uf capacitors so they are all the same type.
Keep in mind that with them I will replace Clarity Cap and Mundorf ...
As we say here, "sometimes less is more" (- is +)
