I found a nice little Capehart 1009F for $40 this morning at the local Thrift store. The original cabinet is in outstanding condition. The 11 tube AM/FM tuner-amp, speaker and antenna are all original Capehart.

I have some questions about the turntable:

. It has a Glaser-Steers Seventy-Seven (GS-77) turntable in it...did the Capehart 1009 come stock with s GS-77?

. If not, what was the stock turntable?

. Is anyone familiar with the GS-77?

TIA,

Terry

Yes they did use GS-77s.I have the component version. They are well worth picking up,but there is not a lot of information out there out there on them, other than some pretty good YouTube videos.

Thanks!

Do you know where I can find the service manual/documents for the GS-77? I'd like to go through the one in my 1009F.
