It is that time of year again. An awful lot of car people are in town to look at or show off their cars. This is a fun time for those who like to see exotic and rare cars. As of Saturday noon, I had already seen a dozen Ferrari, two Lamborghini and two Bentleys. One also sees nice old American cars too. Some of the events this weekend:

The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. Five bistros, wine tasting, a Bonhams & Butterfields auction (including the oldest surviving Cadillac from 1903), Ferraris plus celebration of 50 years of Laguna Seca …

34th Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races at Laguna Seca

Concorso Italiano. Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini etc.

Gooding & Co. Pebble Beach Auction.

57th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. This world famous car show takes place in a beautiful setting, the 18th fairway of the Pebble Beach golf course. The weather was perfect this weekend.

I rode my bicycle to Pacific Grove on Friday afternoon. The main street was closed to through traffic for about six or seven blocks so that some car owners could display their cars. This event was free. Most of the above events cost between $45 to $175 admission.

Here are a few photos of the free Pacific Grove event.

I am getting old. I was at the 33rd Concours d'Elegance back in 83 and it was my last one. The Races at Laguna Seca were fun to watch.

Cool!

That car show in Monterey have to be one of the best in the world. Just a amazing display of every automobile imagineable.

btw...that surfboard on the Woody is all wrong. Should be a vintage single fin longboard not a newer tri-fin thruster. Those guys should now better.

Here how it's done right.

You are right, the board does not fit the vintage, however, it does fit the small car. The longboard probably would have flattened that little guy. :D

Below is a picture in Monterey. These cars are up for auction this weekend.
