Cart question. Help!

I have a sony ps-t3 tt. Ordered the stock replacement stylus and it didn't fit! Turns out the cart is a ortofon 210. Turns out it requires a M20E super stylus. That's 97 bucks. Is it worth it? Or can that money get a cart stylus set that performs just as well? Is all this wasted on this tt?

The one I bought was stock for the original cart that came with the tt. It was 10 bucks and I'm not sure what it was. Generic. That's when I realized my pops had upgraded the cart. Underestimated the old man...

googed Orto 210, no results. Sure you got the cart right?

Adam: There is no Ortofon cart named 210. However, the cart might have the Ortofon CAP 210 capacitor plate installed over its output pins as an add-on.

Well, and regarding the M20E Super: That's a nice cartridge, but the needle is pretty highly compliant, so that I'd deem it a bit of a marginal match for the arm of the PS-T3. You could install the FineLine needle version, which was significantly less compliant an intended for use with medium-heavy arms, though. Tracking force with the D20FL Super would then be ca. 1,5 to 1.75 g instead of 1 to 1.25 g with the D20E Super.
