Cart Suggestions - Luxman PD-272

Anyway I have acquired one, and it came with a very old Grado MC+ cartridge. Analysis and research has shown this is NOT of the Mono MC+ group, but is in fact a stereo cart. Grado has told me I can replace the stylus with a black stylus, but the Black itself is a superior Cart to the one I have.

So I'm wondering if it's worth replacing the cart, AND, if this TT is considered a higher end one, what Carts would be good to look into without killing the bank, completely. The Black is only $80, I wouldn't be adverse to going as high in price as a Red, which is just under $200.

So I'm open to suggestions, my other TT is a Dual 1019 with a Shure M55 and an Ed Saunders styli, so I don’t know much regarding hifi cartridges.

That tonearm is low-mass, so you'll need a cartridge with a high-compliance stylus. A Grado Prestige cartridge would work OK, although I'm not sure if they hum with your turntable (as these cartridges are unshielded from electromagnetic emissions from the motor). As an alternative, I would suggest an Ortofon OM cartridge - if you don't want to break the bank, the Super-OM10 is a good candidate.
