Cartridge for thorens td-146

Hi all. The cartirdge on my thorens td-146 broke today. It has the original tonearm. Is there an inexpensive cartidge out there that woumd fit the original tonearm? My budget is very limited...like $50 is about all I can spend.

I need the cartridge and stylus. The tonearm is a tp-63. I'm also wondering if the headshell comessage off the tonearm. It does not look like it does.

The headshell does not come off. The arm itself comes off. There is a twist on connection about 3/4 the way back on the arm it should be chrome just unthread that and pull the arm off.You need a cartridge that you can attach from the bottom as there are no mounting holes on the top of the headshell the ortofon that Balifly recomended will work
 
Those two little screws that attach the cartridge body to the headshell are a sometimes hard to find metric size. So if you decide to go with a new cartridge that has a much thicker or thinner mounting base than the one you currently have on there, you may need to source some different length screws. I haven't looked lately but there used to be a vendor out of Spain that would sell "Thorens screws" on Ebay.

I'm a fan of the AT95E for that budget. Great cart for the price, and you can upgrade the stylus up to a shibata for a reasonable price if you choose to in the future.
 
I posted a similar thread around the same time as this onwill in a vintage vinyl forum and a member rexommended an at95e and he had an extra he didn't need and he sent me it. It's a nice sounding cartidge and fits perfectly. Thanks all for your input.
