Cartridge ID, please

Can anyone give me an ID and technical specs for this cartridge... Audio Technica, obviously. I do recognize the body/generator, it looks like AT-95E, 95EX.

However, the stylus assembly looks interesting. Original model, apparently ... Kinda resembles AT-3600, 3600L with its carbon fiber cantilever and light-grey color coding.

I know two model numbers for the light grey needle, namely ATN3401 and ATN3450L - of which I think the former would sport a carbon and the latter an alu cantilever. Haven't got original specs for either of these two, though.

Interesting... There are even NOS styli for sale, still available online. Thanks bunches!

Though I don't understand, from what I can tell this is a 3600 mounted on AT95 body - what's the point? I mean, 3600/AT91 and AT95 are already similar enough if not the same. I assumed that perhaps 3401/3450 would be elliptical counterparts, identical to modern-day ATN 3600LE but from what I can tell, it is not.

It's not. The AT95/AT3400 has a more obvious slope at the front. You can see this on your second photo.

Didn't mean it literally, I know. What I meant is that Audio Technica put 3600 CF stylus assembly on AT95 body and gave it a new name. Where on the other hand, AT91 and AT95 generators are already similar enough (if not pretty much the same) and both feature almost the same tonal signature.

Choice, I'd say - be it really needed or not (and also: be it for end users or OEM customers). For example, you could just as well ask, why the were the Ortofon SuperOM10/20/30/40 and the 510/520/530/540 and the 510/520/530/540MkII & VM White/Red/Blue/Silver. Or why the OM5/10 and the M5/10 & Digitrac 25S/50E? Or why the OMP10, the 310 and the M10P & Digitrac 50EP?
