Cartridge identification

Hello all,

I have just acquired a Dual 505-2 turntable which came with an Audio Technica cartridge. The previous owner has no idea what the model is and I've been unable to identify it. Is there are handy cartridge identification site anywhere? It does look like at AT95E, but the bit which holds the stylus is yellow, not the normal green.

Any help appreciated, thank you.

AT3400 has the same body style as the AT95E but a yellow conical stylus.

SA-708: You sure about the 3400 being yellow? Iirc, the 3400/3450 should have been be the red conical for ca. 2.5 g vtf, whereas the yellow conical for 2 g was the 3410/3451 aka 93.

Greetings from Munich!

Okay, now it's working. Yes, the picture confirms that it is an AT3400 aka AT95 with a conical stylus.

This is what you have; if it doesn't have the logo, it's an aftermarket version.

If you like it can be upgraded to an elliptical, HE, or Shibata (line contact) stylus. Turntableneedles and lpgear have them. Look under AT95.
