Cartridge question.

As pointed out above, there should be no problem with that cartridge on your Pioneer. However, it looks like one of the cheap Chinese cartridges that you often see unbranded. I haven't heard it but I doubt that it will allow you to get anywhere near the best out of your turntable. If I were you, I would return it (if possible) and get a reputable cartridge instead - you can probably buy the Audio Technica AT3600L for less than that price or the AT-VM95C for a little more (and if possible, push to the AT-VM95E).

Once you use it, and it will work just fine,’you’re not going to be able to return it. Better make certain it’s something you really want to use. If you do use it don’t like it at least you’re not out much.

Same cartridge as these. All Chuo Denshi carts. The one the OP ordered is the same as the black one on the lower right. All made in Japan. Horrible cartridges. For about the same money, you can get the AT3600L. That’s a good cart, especially by how the 3600 stands out from its competitors at that low price point.
