Carver+Denon Vs. Denon

Hello,

Considering only 2 channels (L+R) being driven through a pair of Klipsch R-1s'..
using a DENON AVR-3805 internal pre amp and amplification either bi-amp or non using this one unit... 120 RMS@ 8ohm or almost double wattage with bi-amp.

or

use a CARVER PM-600 amp 200 RMS@8ohm
and utilize the pre amplifier section from the DENON mentioned above.

Please note that this is a no money/what if scenario using what is immediately available...

I am simply curious what someone else might consider setting up or what I might be neglecting.

If I understand your post, you have the Carver, so why not try it and answer your own question?

Crown pre amps never let me down with clipping or distorting. Pushes Cerwyn Vega 15s on -1 will rattle the framing off whatever room it’s in.
