Hello all, first time posting. I've encountered a quite strange issue. I have a JVC KD-V6 3 head deck. I've had a wonderful time playing and recording with it. But last night when I put in a new Maxell XLII-S for a new mix tape, I discovered that there appeared to be dropouts on the left channel, but not exactly cutting off.
Here's my best effort to explain the issue specifically: the "problem" lasts about less than half of a second, and repeats every 2 seconds, for the first 2~minutes of the cassette. The "problem" starts by the volume quickly dropping(Not cutting) to zero, then rises back to normal.
I've confirmed that the problem is not the tape, I have tested the tape in another deck and the problem does not exist.
Upon further testing I've discovered that the problem is in playback only, it still makes good recordings. I have tested the recording on a separate deck and it appears to be pristine.
Any guesses or knowledge from you guys would be highly appreciated, thanks for reading this and cheers.
