CASTLE ISIS Speakers - Scratching Sound

I was given a pair of Castle ISIS speakers by a family member (i have no knowledge of the speaker's prior use/history) and I'm also completely new to the world of Audio, so please forgive me if I'm not using the correct terminology.

when I first set them up the sound quality was good, however, the second any bass was played through both speakers emitted a fuzzy sound, on inspection I found the rubber sounds were basically falling off, so I removed the existing glue residue and re-glued the surrounds back on, this appeared to fix the main extent of the fuzziness, with the left speaker sounding perfect, however, the right speaker still sounded fuzzy with any bass, particularly at higher volumes.

I've removed the back of the speaker and everything appears to be in place, correctly soldered etc. and i removed the driver and cannot see anything immediately visually wrong.

the only thing that seems to be out of the ordinary is that if i gently press down on the white cone as it moves there is a scratching sound and it feels & sounds as if something is rubbing/Scratching against it.

I would appreciate any advice/guidance on what or if there is anything i can do to remedy this

is this a job that could be done by myself, or best taken to a professional?

You would have to carefully separate the surround from the woofer itself, recenter it, and glue it back down.
Sometimes it is best to carefully remove the center dust cap, make some paper shims to shim the voice coil, then recenter and glue down everything.

You should be able to find videos on YouTube showing how to do it.

Many people DIY surround replacement. But IMO there is no shame in having a shop replace them if you are not comfortable doing it yourself.
Cost will be higher to have a shop do it.
You might want to watch a youtube video(s) and see if you think you can do it yourself.
I'm not familiar with Castle speakers. Off the shelf surrounds might be available, if not you will need to take some ACCURATE measurements.

These speakers are worth having a pro do it. Dont' run the speakers like that, you will ruin them. They are rare, and very highly regarded.
