CD player LCD screen issue, need help

Hi,
I picked up a Cambridge Audio Azur 740c CD player bargain. Replaced the belt but a few of the numbers on the LCD screen are extremely dim. Most of the screen works fine. Could it be a cold solder joint? Any suggestions?

Have you done a Google search? Quick AI info says that the display module is a known suspect or faulty solder joints could be another.
