CD skips while playing : How to fix ?

My 20 year old Sony CDP - C910 cd player ( with a 10 disc magazine ) has a problem of cd skipping time And again . So how do I fix it ? or does it need to replace any part such as laser lamp or something ? Or is it time to simply abandon the cd player ?
I need help from guys jere . Thanks

You could always try to blow off dust and/or clean the laser lens?

How to fix?

There is no one way to solve that complaint. It could be a number of things.
It could be a bad laser assy.
It could be a bad spindle motor.
It could be a bad feed motor.
It could be etc., etc., etc.

Just had it happen to me. It was a fingerprint smudge on the disc.
