Celef Mini Professional H.E.

Hi!

A long shot, as these are pretty rare, but does anyone have any experience listening to this model of Celef?

I believe H.E. stands for "High Efficiency", so i'm wondering to want extent this might be the case with these?

Any thoughts or chat would be welcome and appreciated.

Celef was formed in the 1970s by a man called Stewart Tyler. Tyler formed two companies in parallel. The other was named Proac. Do some internet research about ProAc. That might clarify that Celef has good Audio DNA.

Thanks, From already owning a pair of Celef Studio Monitors, I have already enjoyed fully researching all I could find out about Stewart Tyler. I even spoke to Stewart’s som in law, who is currently running Proac with his wife, who is Mr Tyler’s daughter. I was looking for someone who’s had direct listening experience with this particular model. There’s a pair for sale and wondering whether to take a pop on them. I suppose it’s likely that buying a pair of Celefs without first hearing, it’s probably hard to go far wrong.

I used a pair of ProAc EBTs for 17 years until I went in a completely different direction. I don't think that man designed anything less than a great sounding speaker. I agree with your last sentence.
