Celestion SL6si (have) or ProAc Tablette 50?

I have the Celestion SL6si, and I like them a lot. They are detailed in the treble but not necessarily that open sounding up there. Would the rather small ProAc Tablette 50, give me anything that I don't already have with the Celestions? Some people rave about them.

I am listening in a smallish space, won't be easy to get more than a couple feet in front of the back wall, and my amp is an Accuphase P300 at 150WPC into 8 ohms. I need articulate bass but I am not a bass fanatic, and I know the ProAc's don't dish out bass in spades. Musical taste varies- jazz, classical, electronic, rock, folk.

Anyone have any experience comparing these two?

No experience comparing them but I will say the best listening experience I ever had in a small room was the Response 1SC. I do prefer brighter and airy speakers and they were absolutely amazing, esp considering how small the room was though it was a purpose-built room.

I don't know that I ever heard the Tablette 50 but heard the Signature version with the copper phase plug. It sounded fantastic.

Most of the Celestions I've heard sounded very good and not rolled off in the top end but most of the ProAcs I've heard were brighter and more open sounding.

Thanks for the info cratz. I might not be correct in saying that my Celestion SL6si are rolled off. Perhaps it's a matter of taste, maybe what I prefer is a bit more brghtness. Or maybe I am just starting to lose my hearing in the upper register a bit .

I will be looking into the ProAc Response speakers you mention. Not familiar with them, I am just getting to know the ProAc line now.
